The Rain Down In Africa

Reena pulled up to the sanctuary and beeped the horn before parking the truck and getting out. She cried out for Bailey.

Bailey came running out. "Reena ? What is it ?" she asked Seeing jasper laying there she ran over to him. "Shit , What happened ? " she asked as she shouted for a gurney.

Reena told Bailey all about it. She felt horrible, like this was her fault.

Bailey let out a sigh of relif. Sort of. "Well at least you were both shot. " she said as they weeled jasper into the sanctuary. "You look prety shaken up , come on come grab a drink while i sort jasper out."

Someone lead Reena to a room with a couch and gave her soem water. She curled her frame onto the couch and cried quietly. Eventually falling to sleep.

Bailey headed ot hte operation room where jasper was. The bullet was logded deeply but it was stil hole. She manage to get it out and stitch it up before giving him some pain and sleeping meds mied into one.

Reena slept on the couch, crying in her sleep.

Bailey headed into the room where Reena was and saw her crying going over to her she gently slid on to the couch pulling reena to her holding her gently as she slept.

In her sleep, she watched it over and over. But in her dreams, well nightmares, Jasper was dead.

*A Couple of Hours Later *

Jasper whined slightly opening his eyes he looked up. He Stood up feeling the pain in his back leg and allmost collapsed back down. Determind to see if reena was ok He jumped off the bed thing and Headed to find her.

Bailey was still holding Reena as she slept sleepingas well.

Reena slept fitfully, stuck in the nightmare, reliving it over and over again.

Jasper Found her with bailey both sleeping. He Limped over to them licking at Reenas Face.

Her eyes opened, red from crying. "Jasper,"she whispered.

Jasper nuzzled into her licking her gently. Don't Cry Reena , Are you ok ?" He sent through a link.Bailey opened her eys and smiled. "Bout time." she grinned cheekily.

Reena threw her arms around his neck, burying her face in his fur.

Jasper grinned up at bailey then nuzzled into Reena. "You didn't get hurt did you ? " he asked worriedly. He hoped he hadn't been to late.

Bailey smiled patting jasper she stood up." I'm gunna golook at all the other animals call if you need me."

Reena held onto him, breathing in his scent. "I'm fine Jasper."

Jasper switched to his human form even though it hurt and was naked he sat on the sofa holding her in his arms smiling. "As long as your safe i'm happy." he said.

Reena placed her face against his neck, breathing in his scent. Still crying but happy he was alive.

Jasper held her cloe. "Are you sure you wasn't hurt ?" he asked.

Reena nodded his head and then blushed when she realized he had no clothes on and she was wearing his shirt.

Jasper loked down and blushed. "I .. ahh... I'll go get changed." He said staning up he put her back on the couch and disapeared off.

Reena bit her lip. He had one hell of a body. She curled her legs up under her, making the shirt she was wearing, his shirt, ride up higher on her thighs.

Jasper Found some shorts but that was it. coming back in he smiled. "You ok ?" He asked. He was still limping slightly.

She smiled at him, her eyes sad, red and tired. He was limping and that bothered her a lot. "Yeah I'm ok."
