Howling At The Moon

Riona stayed toward the forest in her wolf form. It was winter and the snow piled up under her paws. They were bleeding as she walked. Days had passed since she had eaten and she knew she had to find food soon. AFter some time, she spotted a fence that ran along the tree line. Approaching it, she spotted a hole under it. Gettting on her belly, she climbed under the fence. SNifing the air, she smelled wild game. The sound of chickens came to her and she slowly made her way to it. She was unaware of the workhand who, spotting her, grabbed a gun, aimed and shot. Riona felt the pain and went down into the snow, laying there unmoving.

Kyle looked up from his when he heard a shot from the edge of his ranch. Even though it was so big with his Extra abilities from being a wolf he heard it so clear it was like it was next too him. No one knew of his Canine side and his ranch hands were human. Getting up he stalked out towards thes sound of the shot. "Jasper !" he snapped.

The man jumped. "Hey boss. Didn't hear ya come out. Damn wolf was trying to steal her some chickens. DOnt worry though..got me a clear shot of her."

Kyle Rolled his eyes. "Well Fine don't let me help you. But sooner or later the wounds going to be come infected and if hou don't die from it you will loose your limb from it. I know what you are." he said and turned to leave.

Riona whined and slowly began to follow him. It hurt to move and her stomache growled. The pain, teh cold and the hunger were all taking it's toll on her.

Kyle turned and smiled. "Right Now let me carry you." He said walking towards her he scooped her in his arms, "Don't worry i am like you." He said and walked towards the house

Riona shivered in his arms and looked up at him. She placed her head against his arms and just watched wearily.

Kyle stroked her fur gently and walked back into the main house and through to the back room. Putting the light on he layed her down on the desk. "Listen this is going to hurt like hell and this room is soundproofish but i need you to be as quiet as you can. Ok ?" he asked stroking her fur gently.

Riona watched him. She was so tired, she didnt care any more. BUt the feel of him stroking her fur, soothed her.

Kyle nodded then grabbed some gloves and other stuff to clean her up and take out the bullet in the wound. finding t he pulled the bullet out gently as he could.

Riona was so tired and her body so weak that all herb ody womed a little and she whined slightly.

Kyle stroked her gently and gave her some medicene that was sutible for wolfs to take for pain. "here take these while i got get you something to eat then you can sleep. But after there is alot of explaination to do." he Growled before turnin and heading for the kitchen.

RIona lay on the desk, unmoving. He had given her the medicine and she had swallowed the pills without hesitation. It was warm in here and that made her happy.

Kyle came back with some Meat and water for her in a bowl he laid it out for her. "Eat then sleep i shall be back in a while." he said./

Riona sniffed the food tentaively. SHe was scared to eat anything she had not seen made with her own two eyes. They had poisoned her when she was young. BUt the hunger won out and she began to eat.

Kyle stalked out to the kitchen again seeing Jasper eating his meal. "Jasper I have dealt with the wolf. You will stay out the back room and don;t let any one out in the backroom I'm going to go for a walk."

Jasper looked up. "Ok boss." Snow Bird was heading to Kyle's. She would make the mid day meal, dinner and then return to her people.

Kyle turned and headed out the kitchen. He smiled when he saw snow bird. "Greetings." He said.

Snow Bird smiled. SHe still harbored feelings for him even if he didn't. "If you are going out a coat would be wise Kyle."
He laughed and reached for one. "You know i wouldn't go out with out one." he said pulling it on

Snow Bird smiled, watching him. He would never be hers. It was sad but true. Riona finished the meal and closed her eyes. The medicine took effect and she fell asleep.

Kyle Nodded as he left and went out into the woods in his ranch before pulling of his coat and clothes then changing to wolf form before going running

SNow Bird headed into the kitchen to prepare lunch. SHe smiled at Jasper and grabbed what she needed and go to work

kyle bounded through the forest dogding trees and jumping over fallen ones.

"Hey Snow. SHot me a wolf today." SNow Bird looked at Jasper. "Really." He smiled. "Yup. SHe dead."
Kyle walked back into the house his hair tossled. He walked into the living room where jasper was on his break. He sat down beside him and smiled. "Hello Jasper."

Jasper looked at him. "What's up boss?"

Kyle shook his head running his hands through his hair., "Nothing exciting went for a walk. Quite bitter out there." he said his cheeks Rosy red from the cold.

Jasper nodded. "So what ya doing with the pelt from the she-wolf?"

Kyle scowled. "Nothing. Because the she wolf still has it."

Jasper looked at him. "You buried her in her pelt? COuld have brought quuite some moeny for ya. It was the prettiest shade of white I ever saw."

kyle sciwked and hit him on the back of th head. "I haven't buried her."

"Ow why ya do that boss" Jasper rubbed his head. "i don't get it. Why didn't you bury her if she's dead?"

"Because she aint dead you dork." He scowled.

Jasper looked at him. "BUt I shot her through. Hit her dead on." He stood and shook his head. He headed out to have a cigarette since Kyle did not let them smoke in the house."

Kyle stood and followed him. "Sorry Jasper but you shots not as good as you think it is. It hit her hind leg right at the top." he said.

Jasper lit the cigarette and scowled. "So where's the bitch now?"

"Sleeping and resting i took the bullet out of her leg and gave her food The only reason she isn't dead is because of your shit shot. I shall wait till she is better then send her on her way." He said.

Jasper shook his head. "SOmetimes boss I wonder about ya. I mean she's a wild animal and will return for those chickens. THe only good wolf is a dead wolf."

Kyle snarled. "She was hungry. What would you do ?" he asked. Maybe he was rught though. That was the reason he hardly wnet for his runs.

Jasper shrugged, put out his cigarette and headed to do his work. Riona woke slowly, not sure where she was.

kyle growled and turned heading back to the back room he leant against the door watching the she wolf with fierce eyes.

Slowly she raised her head and looked around the room. Standing on the desk with shakey legs, she jumped down. Her back leg that had been shot, gave out and she fell hard. THe pain was fierce but she got back up.

Kyle growled and walked over lifting the wolf up he laid her back down on the counter. "Stop being stupid." he snarled.

Riona was starteled and did what any wolf would do. SHe snapped at him, getting his wrist in her mouth. Realizing what she did. SHe let go and laid down, shaking and whining, SHe knew he would beat her now.

kyle glared at her before backing up leaning against the wall. "I was only trying to help." he snapped.

SHe shook and whined, watching him with fearful eyes.

he watched her glaring at her he crossed his arms over his chest for a second then pulled out a pack of painkillers again handing them to her. before going back to crossing his arms

She looked up at him confused. In a flash the wolf was gone and a small female was before him. "You will not beat me?" RIona just stared at him. Unaware that she had no clothes on. SHe had only learned to flash to her wolf form.

kyle Pulled of his jacket and chucked it at her to put on shaking his head. "No why would i ?" he asked.

Riona put the jacket on, still watching him leerily. "Because I bit you."

"Yea and you had every right to. I Picked ypu up with out warning you and i've snapped at you." He shrugged then glared at her. "Now what were you doing on my land ?"

RIona looked at him still confused. "I was merely looking for food. Maybe a shed to stay in until the snow stopped before I could go on again." Her hands hurt and she looked at them, noticing they were cracked and bleeding.
Kyle looked his head looking at her straight in her eyes. "Aye what about your pack or you human home ?"

"I do not have a home..my pack.." she bit her lip and looked away. Afraid. What if he knew them, would send her back to them?

He raised a brow looking at her. "aye your pack. What of them ?" he asked/

"They...I...if they find me they will kill me."

Kyle Frowned. "Why is that ?" he asked.

"My mother mated with a lower wolf from another pack. My grandfather was very displeased. To placate him, she killed my father and when I was born turned me over to my grandfather to do with as he pleased."

Kyle growled. "Thats wrong. But I am sorry i cannont keep you here it is dangerous enough with one wolf around here with all the humans. your welcome to stay in this back room until you heal fully then you shall have to leave."

Riona only nodded. She couldn't stay. They would track her here and kill all in their way.

Kyle Turned to fsace the door. "I shall go get you some food then return." he said before leaving and heading into the kitchen.

Riona stood and looked out the window. The snow was mouting higher and higher. SHe sighed. The back of her legs had some welts as did her back. Pulling his jacket closer, she tried to get warmer. SNow Bird had just finished lucnh when Kyle came in. "Hey. I heard about the wolf."

Kyle Looked over at her. "I plan to wait till she's properly healed then send her on her way."

SNow BIrd glared at him. "Have I taught you nothing. I save you. I could have sent you on your way. You would have died and so will she if you do this. You once had a heart. Maybe I was wrong when I stood up to my chief to protect you all those years ago."

Kyle shook his head. "I have a heart. That is why i'm making her food and helping her heal then sending her on her wya. It is too dangerous snow,"

SNow bird glared at him. "A pox on you Kyle. You have changed. You are no more the man I once knew."

Kyle shook his head. "You are wrong snow. I've Not changed. I've Grown wise."
*Snow looked at him. "I doubt that."
*He frowned looking at her. "And why is that ?"
*Snow shook her head. "If you were wise you would help her, keep her here until you find out more about her. What has she told you?" SHe began to make an apple pie, knowing it was Kyle favotrite
*Kyle Scowled. "I am Helping her. But i have learnt from past expeirences Not to trust other wolfs. you know that snow." he said wakling over to her he dipped his finger in the apple sauce she was making with a cheeky grin. "She hasn't told me anything really." he shrugged.
*Snow glared at him. "Yet yoy say you have grown wiser. Such is not the case. What has she told you of her pack?" SHe slapped at his hand playfully.
*Again he shrugged. "Nothing Much." He said.
*SNow shook her head. "I do not think you will ever know. What happens to her when you let her go. THink long and hard. Do you want the death of another on your hands?"
*Kyle scowled at her. "Don't Do that snow. That death was not my fault. Besides how do i know i can trust her ? She is a wolf." He said.]
*Snow turned to look at him. "How did I know I could trust you? Yet I did. The only way is to try and see Kyle. NOt all wolves are bad. Look at you. Talk to her. Where is she now?"
*"Asleep or resting. I Was supposed to be getting food which is what i'll do now. Maybr your Right snow. But I've always learnt to trust my self." He said shrugging as he went through the cupboards.
*SNow sighed. "Listen Kyle. THink before you throw her out into the world. You of all people know what it is like. What room is she in?" SHe wandered over and grabbed a can of soup. "She will need something warm." Passing by him to get a pot, she brushed against his back and bit her lip. She still felt for him, but Kyle was not to be hers
*"The back room. I could hardly bring her into the living room. Jasper thought he'd shot her dead. I Got the bullet out though." he said as he bent down to grab a pot for her he handed it to her.
*SNow sighed. "You should make sure she has a proper room. WE can say she is a cousin of mine who needs a place to stay for a while." SHe reached out and touched his back
*Kyle Nodded and stepped foreward kissing her oon her forehead. "Snow My dear you are a wonder. Now how about you make the soup while i make her a room in the left corridor." he suggested with a cheeky grin. The ranch was so big it was split. the left corridor had an the rooms which the ranch hands stayed in. the room where snow stayed in. A couple of spare rooms, a bathroom and a libreary. the Right corridor was were his room was along with another living room and a bathroom and his office.
*Snow smiled sadly and went back to cooking. They had tried but Kyle wasn't interested in her that way. SUre they had been together once. Kyle had been drunk and lonely. He had regretted it but Snow never did. SHe watched him leave and wondered about the new female.
*Kyle Ran up to the Left corridor He saw Jasper on the Way. "Hey Jasper we've got a guest staying Be Nice ok." He said.
*Jasper grinned. "Yeah what's he like?"
*"She is snow's cousin. Your Rude to her and i will maim you." He said. "And Don't be surprised if snow won't either." He said and continued walking down the corridor waiting for jasper to follow with a million and one questions.
*Jasper followed after him. "REally, snow's cousin." SNow was gorgeous but out of his league. Maybe this cousin would work. "So ah, how long, how old is she, is she single, think I got a chance with her, is she ugly, does she have a hot body?"
*Kyle rolled his eyes ad contiuned walking. "As long as she needs. I Don't know. I don;t know. No. No. I don't know." HE said ticking off the questions as he headed into a guest bedroom.
*Jasper sighed. "She'll be here soon though eh? Hmm I better clean up. Been a while since I've had a woman and Im sure i can work my charms on her."
*He Scoffed. "The only charms you can work are on a Haystack Bale." He said.
*Jasper looked at him. "You'll see. Ill have her sitting in my lap and eating out of my hand by the end of the first day."
*Kyle shook his head. "Go Finish of checking around the Ranch for any more animals or hole in the fence. THEN you can have the day to your self." He said while he sorted the bedroom out.
*Jasper sighed. "Fine boss." He headed out to do as commanded.
*He Grinned chuckling to him self at jasper. That human was the most Cheekiest one he'd met with his charming. As he finished sorting the room out he headed back down stairs into the kitchen. "Jasper Is going to try it on with 'your cousin' " He laughed.
*Snow shook her head. "He will never learn will he?" SInce the soup was done, she put it in a bowl and looked at Kyle. "Kyle, listen I think we need to talk."
*Taking the bowl from her he leaned back against the counter. "Aye ? And what do we need to talk about ?" He asked.
*SNow took a deep breath. "ABout us."
*Kyle frowned watching her. "I am listening snow. But you know my view." He said.
*"Why can't we give it a try Kyle? I..I know you enjoyed what we did." SHe wanted him even though he had said no.
*He shook his head. "I Did and i didn't snow. I See you more as a little slash older sister that i look after and who looks after me. Now imagine me sleeping with my sister . It's Wrong isn't it? I'm sorry snow." He said.
*SNow sighed. "You ah..you should give that to her while it is warm." She turned her back to him, trying to finish the pie without crying.
*Kyle sighed and nodded before turning and heading into the back rom where th she wolf was. "Here I Bought you something to eat." He said putting the bowl down on the table.
*Her back was to him and his coat pulled tight. SHe was still cold and so tired. Slowly she turned to look at him. "Thank you." Her voice was a mere whisper. She slowly walkd over to the table. Picking up the bowl she began to eat slowly.
*He watched her. "So Whats your name ?" He asked. "i'm Kyle. I Own this Ranch." He said introducing himself.
*She looked up at him. Her green eyes intense on his face. Not sure to trust him, but knowing she wasn't in a situation to choose she spoke. "Riona."'
*Kyle Nodded. "Nice to meet you. Your welcome to stay as long as you want. Do you need anything else ? And I have a spare room set up for you up stairs which is warmer. I Have a set of rules as well but they can come in a moment."
*Riona thought about it. "Is there anyway to get some clothing?"
*He nodded."I Can Arrange for that to happen. Any thing else ?" He asked.
*Riona finished her soup and shook her head no.
*"Right If you'd like to follow me then and i'll lead you up to your room." He said turning.
*Riona followed behind him quietly. Her head was down and she said nothing to him as they walked.
*Kyle continued to walk peering into the living room he saw Jasper sitting there. "I take it you've finished ?" He asked.
*Jasper's eyes lit up when he spotted the female. "Umm yeah boss. You uh going to introduce me?" His eyes raked over the female. Seemed to him she had nothing on but that coat. Damn he wanted that. RIona wouldn't look at the man, at the human. SHe diverted her eyes to the ground.
*Kyle shook his head. "Riona this is Jasper. One of the Ranch hands. Jasper This is Riona the female i was telling you about. I'm Just about to take her to her room." He Said.
*Jasper jumped up and approached her. "How about I do that boss. Would be a pleasure to escort such a pretty little thing." He went to touch her. Riona jumped back, coming in contact with kyle. There as fear in her eyes.
*Kyle nodded once acknolgeding her. "No I shall do it Jasper you go back to your Tv programme." He said and turned letting Riona lead out. Once they were out he closed the door then continnued walking up the stair way. ."There is no Need to fear him. He is a harmless human. Dorky one at that."He said. "No one will hurt you here." He said.
*She said nothing, merely followed him. He had been the human who shot her and the look in his eyes as he had come towards her made her want to take a hot shower.
Opening the door to the guest room he let her walk in first. "This will be you room. Like i said you are welcome here for as long as you need. Two doors down on the left is a female if you need help and cannot find me. Her name is snow and she knows what you and i are." He said as he wwalked around the room. "Would you like anything else. A tour perhaps ?" He asked.
Riona looked around the room. "I guess so,"she whispered. Her eyes caught motion outside and in the distance a low howl.
*His eyes glanced over at the window. "Perhaps the rules first." He
Riona sat on the bed quietly and waited for him to speak. A knock came to the door.
*Kyle glanced over at the door and scowled before opening it. "What ?"
*Snow glared at him before coming into the room. She smiled at the girl on the bed. "I..I brought you some clothes." SHe walked over to Riona and handed them to her. Riona smiled shyly and headed into the bathroom to get dressed.
*Kyle sighed and watched her. "Sorry snow i thought it might Be Jasper you know how he is. RIona this is the woman you go to who is two doors down on tyour left if you need anything and cant find me." He said indicatiing snow.
*SNow watched the girl head into the bathroom. She knew in time the female would be Kyle's mate. She had seen it. "She will make you happy Kyle." Riona looked at herself in the mirror. SNow was stunningly beautiful and made Riona feel...fell worse than she did.
*Kyle Frowned shaking his head. "She won't snow. I Don't know how to be happy. Besides she's only here for as long as she needs." He said
*SNow sighed. "Kyle..I have seen it." Riona sighed and came out of the bathroom. SHe didn't look at Kyle or Snow as she handed Kyle his jacket back and sat on the bed,
*Kyle Took hold of his jacket. "Anyway rules." He said turning back to Riona. "no one knows about my other .. lifestyle as we call it except for snow.So I'd appreciate it if you didn't turn wolf on us infront of everyone. Any questions ?" He asked.
*Riona shook her head still looking down. SNow moved closer to Kyle. "Believe what you will Kyle. I have seen it and my visions have never been wrong."
*Kyle shook hishead. "Very well i have things to be gettign on with. If you need anything Then please call." He said turning to leave. He didn't mean to be cold but it was just his life.
*SNow smiled at the girl and followed him. "Kyle wait." RIona said nothing. Once the door was closed, she changed back into her wolf form and scurried under the bed. Backing up against the wall, she closed her eyes to sleep.
*Kye stopped outside Riona's door and turned to snow. "What ?" he asked.
*"Kyle, please believe me. She is your mate. I wish it wasn't so but I would not lie to you. There is big danger for her. She has to stay here." THey both heard it, wolves howling. Under the bed RIona woke and whined, moving closer to the wall.
*Kyles head snapped towards the sound of the howling wolves and growled slightly. "She May stay as long as she wants but i shan't get involved. Now I Must go deal with these wolves." He said
*Snow grabbed his arm. "you will do no such thing. THey will not come here. THey have no clue she is here. Trust me Kyle...you will get involved. " SHe headed back to the kitchen.
*Kyle followed after her. "I Won't need to tell them she is here just they shallshould stay away from my territory." He said
*SNow sighed. "You do and they will kill you Kyle. Leave it be." She headed into the kitchen.
*Kyle shook his head. He was a stubborn Man and would not let this down. Walking out he headed into the forest and changed to his wol form running towards the pack of wolves
*There were 12 of them and they stood, trying to find her scent. "She is close,"the alpha said.
*kyle approached them. "What are you doing ?" He snarled to the alpha
*THey turned and snalred. "One of our females has gone missing. My mate. SHe is here somewhere. We followed her scent." He moved towards Kyle growling. "DO you know where she is?"
*"Describe her " He said sitting baxck he scratched his ear and watched the alpha. If riona was this wolfs 'mate' he owuld not let on. That was no way to trwat a femal or let her get into that state.
*THe other male galred at him. "She's a little on the small side. Might be mistaken for a small dog. White fur and green eyes. She ran off from the pack. I must find her."
*So it was riona. He Shook his head. "I Haven't seen a wolf or a dog looking like this area but i would appreciate it if you stay awya from my ranch and surronding territory."
*The male looked at Kyle. "If I find she is there..you will not be able to stop me."
*"Aye i will but she isn't there. They are all humans at my ranch."
*The wolves snorted. "Humans, they are not good for anything but sex."
*Kyle scoffed. "You are wrong. Anyway stay away from my territory and you shall live. Watch for some of the humans around here.. they are as dumb as they look." he said as he stood up and ran back off.
*THe wolves watched him go. "He lies,"the alpha said. "I have a feeling he knws more. We need to follow and see where he goes." SNow watched Kyle come back in.
*Kyle Changed to human form again. "WE Need to keep Riona inside for a bit. I believe her pack is in town." he said.
*Snow sighed. "You spoke to them?"
*he nodded. "You know how stubborn i can be. I didn't mention her. they did the alpha said she his mate. I Personally don't believe him but i shall find out what she's running from." He said.
*SNow sighed. "Maybe you should go talk to her now Kyle."

Kyle Nodded and turned to head up to rioans room. getting there he knocked on the door and waited.
*RIona was soo tred she was in a deep sleep and did not hear the door.
*Kyle Scowled and opened the door silently walking in. Seeig her asleep in her wolf form he left and closed the door.
*Snow watched him come in. "That was fast."
*He shook his head. "she is sleeping so i left her." He said.
*SNow sighed. "Kyle..." SHe went to touch his cheek.
*Kyle took her hand entwining his fingers with her.s "What Snow ?" He asked.
*She knew it was wrong, knew the other female would be his mate, but Snow Bird could not help it. She leaned close and kissed him.
*Kyle stepped back. "I've told you snow this is wrong."
*Snow sighed. "Can we not try Kyle?" She loved him even though she knew it would not be more. His mate had come finally.
*Kyle Shook his head. "No snow we cannot i have told you it is wrong to me. I don't want a relationship." he said.
*She sighed and began to clean up. Why, how could her gods give her love to another? Jasper entered and smiled. "Hey uuh where's Riona?"
*Kyle turned and glared at jasper. "Sleeping do not Disturb her or you will be fired." he snapped and stalked out ino the living room.
*Jasper sighed. "What's his problem Snow?" Snow Bird merely shrugged her shoulders.
Kyle was watching Tv as it grew dark.
*RIona had woken to the sound of the wolves howling again. COming out from under the bed, she realized it was later, evening. Dressing, she headed out into the hallway. It was quiet and she assumed everyone was eating. SIghing, she headed to go wander around quietly.
*Kyle looked up when he heard something coming closer to the living room . He TUrned his head towards the door and listened.
*Riona wandered quietly. SHe was edgey and nervous. She knew her pack was out there, just beyond the fence line.Kyle Stood and walked out side. Spotting Rioan he walked over to her. "We need to talk." He said.
SHe jumped, not having heard him come towards her.
"Follow me please." He said walking bakc up the stairs.
Riona followed. The howling came again and she tried not to panic. WOuld he turn her over to them?
Kyle walked into his office and sat dowon in a chair. 2Please sit down." he said inidcating a soft leather chair opposite. Once she was seated he looked at her. "You are welcome to stay here for as long as you want. But i need to know exactly what your running from and why so we know how to protect you. Snow and i. " he said.
Snow and I, she thought. The female must be his mate. How much could she trust him with. "I do not know if I can tell you, trust you."
He sighed. "And how can i prove to you i am trust worthy ?" He asked.Riona heard the howling and stood and wandered over to a window. "I don't know. I have never had anyone do anything that I can trust."
*He shook his head. "Well I'm Trying to help. I went out or a run and a number of wolves are after you. The alpha saying you were his mate. I Am trying to save your life by keeping you away from them." He said. "So Trust me or not."
*When he said mate, she shivered. That was part of the reason she had ran..but only part. She turned to face him. "I am not his mate. THough if I stayed I would have been."
*Kyle leaned bakc watching her. "Why dont you explan to me so i ca help." He said.

*Kyle stood and walked over to her and wrapped on arm around her shoulder. "I won't let him hurt you. I've told him you are not here and he is to stay away from this territory. HE omes close and he will die. You shall not have to go back. I Promise." he said.
*Riona looked up at him with teers in her eyes. Suddenly the lights went out and the howling sounded like it was right outside.
*He looked up growling. He peered outside the whole city was out. "DAMN IT." He Shouted. He took her hand. "Come on.2 e said leading her out he headed down the stairs. He knew his house like the back of his hand. Leading her into the living room he sat her down on the sofa. "Stay there while i gather the rest of the Ranch hands and snow." He said.
*Riona watched him go. Her eyes could see well in the dark and she was suddenly aware of another male in the room. "Hey pretty thing. It's ok wont let anything happen to you,"Jasper said, sitting next to her.
*Kyle Ran through the house gathering ranch hands and maids he lead them towards the living room as it filled. "Riona ?" He called out into the darkness as people started getting out candles to light them.
*Riona stood and moved away Jasper, closer to the windows.

*He walked over to her. "Keep away from the windows." He said. "Everything going ok ? I Have just a couple more people to find then i shall be back. Stay near the candles away from jasper and awaycfrom the windows. I shan't be long." He said.
*Riona did as told. Jasper watched her and moved closer to her. RIona had no choice but to head past the window. The howling started again and she looked out and saw them.
*Kyle Headed back out. Finding snow an the last two Maids he lead them back into the living room where the candles were lit. He looked over at riona who looked liked she'd just seen a ghost. "Riona are you ok ?"
*She turned to him. Jasper went to reach for her and she bolted from the room, heading down the hall and for the back door.
*"Riona !" He Shouted running after her. "Don't go out there its pitch black and there are dangers of the night out there !" He called.
*She had to get out, get away. THey would come, kill all in the house to get ot her and she did not want their blood on her hands.
*Kyle ran after her. He Reached out and touched her shoulder. "Riona !"
*She spun to look at him before she hit the door. The howling was louder and she knew they were beyond the door. "I..I can't let them kill anyone." SHe was shaking, her eyes red with tears.
*He Pulled her too him laying her hands on her shoulders."Hey hey hey.. Its ok. They won't kill anyone. I won't let them. I won't let them kill or hurt you either." he said.
*Riona put her arms around him tentatively and sobbed. A loud bang was heard as one of the wolves threw his body against the back door.
*Kyle held her as she sobbed. His head shot up when he heard the bang. "Come with me quick.2 He said grabbing her hand gently he lead her into the living room as they continued to bang. He walked over snow. "Snow look after her i have a big of a Tooth problem.2 He Siad whicwas code for the tooth caninie like the wolf canine.
*SNow nodded and sat down behind the couch with Riona. The poor female was shaking bad. "It will be ok. Kyle will take care of us..of you."
*Kyle closed the living room door and changed to wolf He opened the back door seeing the wolfs he growled. "Do you not understand the meaning of my territory."
*The alpha male glared at him. "My mate is here give her to me now."
*He glared. "The only females here are My Maids My assitant and her cousin." He Snarled. "NOW LEAVE"
*The alpha snarled and attacked, bitting Kyle's front leg
*Kyle growled he snalred bitinginto the alphas back leg hard. 1 against to many wasn't helpng him and there was no other wolves to help fighthim.
*THe alpha snarled. The sound of a gun made them run off. SNow stood behind him with a shotgun, "You ok?"
*Kyle shook his muzzle he looked down at his leg and scowled at the blood. Changing back to his human form he looked at his forearm. "I'll live. Wheres rioan ?" He asked turing to snow.
*Snow sighed. "LOcked in her room. I turned my back for a minute and Jasper said something and she bolted. I tried to get her to open the door. Kyle's she scared out of her mind."
*He nodded. "Do me a favour find out what jasper said." He said while he ran off up to riona's room. He knocked on the door with his ok arm. "Riona let me in please." He said.
*Snow found Jasper in the living room with the other help. "What the hell did you say to her?" Jasper looked confused. "I just said not to worry that I'd let no wolf hurt her, touch her. I'd skin their hides first. Wolves are nothing but animals." Riona whined, she was cowering under the bed in her wolf form.
*Kyles heart broke a bit whn he heard the whine."Its ok Riona its just me. Let me in." He said as he tried opening the door.
*Shaking all the more, she slowly came out from under the bed, undid the lock with her mouth and scooted back under the bed. Snow shook her head. "You are such an ass Jasper."
*Kyle walked inside and went and sat on the edge of the bed. "Riona what did jasper say ?" He asked.
*In her wolf form and still whining slightly, she poked her muzzle out from under the bed and sniffed to make sure he was alone.
*"Its Just me." He said stroking her muzzle gently. "No one else but me. Please tell me what jasper said."
*Slowly she came out, jumped on the bed and put her head in his lap. "He said wolves are nothing but animals and he'd skin a wolf's hide."
*Kyle stroked her head gently. "He's a human he doesn't tink like us. At that he's a dumb human. I won't let him hurt you. Just as i won't let that alpha hurt you Or any of the pack." He said.
*She liked the feel of his hand and was just begining to relax when she smelled the blood. "You are hurt? Becuase of me?"
*He shook his head. "No I am fine. Its Not your fault." HE smiled as he continued to stoke her fur.
*Sighing, she closed her eyes. What he was doing was so soothing. In time, she forgot about where she was and in seconds she was in her human form, naked, sleeping with her head on his lap.
*Kyle pulled her covers over her body as he ran his fingers through her hair.

*The first thing Rion became aware of was it was morning. The second was she was not alone. SItting up, she noticed Kyle laying on the bed next to her, but ontop of the covers. Holding the blanket to her chest, she studied him as he slept.
*Kyle lay on the covers still dressed his hand entwined in her hair as she slept He'd stayed away hald the night just to make sure she was ok. But Time had taken its toll on him and he'd eventually fallen asleep.
*Sighing, Riona lay back down. Cold, she moved closer to him.
*Kyles eyes shot open when he felt something looking down he sat up slightly.
*Feeling him move, she scooted away a little. "Sorry." Her voice was a whisper.
*Kyle shook his head and stood up. "How are you feeling ?" He asked.
*RIona held the blanket closer and just shrugged her shoulders.
*Kyle Nodded. "I have some things to do why don't you go back to sleep a bit and i'll wake you when breakfast is ready."
*She said nothing, merely snuggled back under the balnket. Tears fell but she made no noise.
*Kyle Nodded and left going back down the the kitchen he saw snow. "Morning." He said.
*SNow smiled. "Morning Kyle. HOw is Riona?"
*"Sleeping. You got any bandages i haven't been able to clean my arm up." He said.
*SNow sighed. "Why not?"
*"I Was calming the she wolf down and watching her sleep. I Ended up sleeping as well." He shrugged.
*Snow smiled and reached into a cabinet and pulled out a bandage. "Here. So you watched her sleep huh?"
*Kyle took the bandage and startedd cleaning his arm. "Yes she was upset about What jasper said." He said as he wrapped the bandage around his arm.
*Snow grinned. "Right. You have never done that with me when I was frightened."
*"Cause when you were frightened you Bit my head of or didn't talk to me." He Said shaking his head.
*"Yeah well inside I wanted to be held and..dont worry about it Kyle."
*"And what ?" He asked turning to her.
*"Nothing." SHe began to make breakfast.
*"Snow talk to me." He said sharply.
*"No,"she hissed at him. Breaking an egg andputting it in the pan.
*"See this is exactly what i was talking about. What do you want me to come hold you now ?" He snapped.
*"Why? Why should I tease myself." Snarling, she shut off the stove and stormed to her room, slamming the door.
*Kyle Growled and went to the cooker turning it on he went back to cooking the egg.
*Riona slept fitfully.
*Kyle finished cooking and set for three on the table. He Went up to Snows Room he knocked on her door loudly. "Breakfast is on the table." He said and headed to rionas room doing the same before heading back down as well and waiting for them. the Ranch hands all had their breakfast's early and were working now.
*Riona had heard him. Getting up she showered quickly and then dressed. Snow came into the kitchen and sat down.
*Kyle sat at the table as soon as they were all down he began to eat quietly.
*Riona said nothing, looked at neither of them. She had a bad feeling the female was mad at Kyle over her. Snow ate quietly. She wasn;t sure she could do this.
*kyle finished his breakfst and put the plates in the sink. "I have work to do today." He said before taking his leave and going iup to his bedroom to change then to his office to work.
*Riona said nothing, simply pushed her food around on her plate. SNow ate and put her plate in the sink. "I need to head to town Riona. I'll be back." She got her coat and headed out the door.
*Kyle sat at his desk in his office going through paper work.
*Once Snow was gone, Riona threw her food out. SHe wasn't hungry any more and decided to explore. GOing up the stairs, she wandered around until she found the library. Smiling, she entered. Wall to wall books. Content, she picked out a book and sat down to read in chair by a fireplace.
*One of the maids came into the libreary and saw her reading. "Do you need anything m'lass ?" she asked.
*Riona shook her head quietly. She was still upset over SNow and Kyle.
*"Aee you ok wee lass ?" She asked going to sit next to her. "I Beg your pardon miss i'm being awfull rude."
*RIona shook her head. "It's ok. I just think I got Kyle in trouble with his...wife."
*The maid frowned. "The Master doesn't have a wife lass.£
*"Snow?"
*Maid shook her head. "No Miss Snow rain is just like us She Cooks for the master." she said.
*Riona looked at her. "She was mad at him this morning."
*"Well Lass its out of place for me to stay but They were rather close but they just bicker like old couple now they aren't together."
*Riona sighed. "I feel like I don't belong here."
*THe maid shrugged. "I Must be going now miss." she said and walked out of the libreary .. (Roll time )

*Snow came back with groceries and began to unpack them. Riona stayed in the library still feeling like she had cuase something between the two,
*Kyle finished most of the paper work and decieded to take a break. Getting up he headed into the kitchen to get lunch.
*SNow had put everything away when he walked in. SHe said nothing but began to make lunch.
*Kyle took some bread and began to make some lunch. He said nothing.
*"Have you seen Riona?"
*kyle looked up and shook his head.
*SNow sighed.
*Kyle finished making his sandwhich and took a bite of it. "What is for dinner ?" He asked.
*Snow finished the sandwhiches just as the ranch hands came in. "Steak and potatoes." She set plates in front of each of them.
*Kyle Nodded watching them all coming in. "How much has been done today ?" He asked Jasper the head ranch man.
*Jasper sighed. "Fences all fixed, animals fed, stalls cleaned, horses looked over. Cows milked."
*Kyle took another bite of his sandwhich . "Just the fields to be fertilized then the day is over. Any crops done need to be harvested then the field area to be plowed and planted again." He said.
*Jasped sighed. "WEll, grounds still frozen over boss or did you forget the storm. Once teh snow melts we will. Umm wher'es Riona?"
*Kyle shrugged. "No I didn't forget the storm I'm just having one of those dats. The grounds shouldn't be that frozen i need you to fertilize the grounds minimum. and i don't know where riona is."
*Jasper sighed. "Yeah boss." Once done they headed to get back to work. "Well whereever she is she needs to eat,"Snow said.
*kyle Nodded. "I'll let you sort that out i'm going to finish the paper work for today."
*Snow glared at him. "I can't. I have to go back to my tribe and then return to cook dinner later."
*Kyle sighed nodding. "I'll ind one of the maids to do it then."
*Snow turned to him. "No, she is your guest. Your responsibility Kyle." Grabbing her coat she headed to the door. "Man up." SHe yelled and headed out, slamming the door behind her.
*Kyle Snarled and made her a sandwhich before going to find her. Finding her in the libreary he walked in and put the plate down infront of her. "Here you need to eat." He said.
*Riona woke slowly and stared up at him. Uncurling herself from the chair she smiled shyly at him. "Thank you."
*Kyle Nodded then turned and walked out. No More. He wouldn't get involved no more.
*Riona ate quietly and then went back to her book. After some time, she put it back and headed out of the library. Feeling like an outsider.
*Kyle wondered the hallways day dreaming. He had been cold to her. But the last time he got involved it ended in tears .. Not the water kind.
*Spotting Kyle coming and not wanting to anger him further, she turned to go the other way.
*Kyle looked up. Maybe he should apologise though. "Riona wait a sec." He called.
*SHe stopped and kept her back to him, waiting.
*He walked over to her and faced her. "I'm Sorry. I've been a cold bastard." He said.
*RIona turned and looked at him. "It's ok. I mean..I really dont fit in her, belong here. As soon as I can I will move on."
*"No you don't have to move on. You will be in too much danger."
*"I'm not wanted here. Whatever is between you and Snow.. I jsut don't belong." SHe hung her head.
*Kyle tilted her head to look up at him. "There is nothing between me and snow. ItsJ ust awkward around here because theres os many people."
*RIona looked up at him. "Exaclty and I would be one more to add to that."
*He shook his head. "You Make it so much better." He said.
*She looked up at him. "I don't see how. I mean you and Snow are arguing, my pack attacked and you got hurt so hw it shat making it better?"
*"Because riona , Me and snow always argue. THe pack is nothiong to worry about and i always get hurt.." He shrugged.
*"You sure.I mean..I hate to be underfoot." Jasper came around the corner. "Hey there's the hotty. How are you? You know I'm done with my work. We can go for a horseback ride just us two."
*Kyle turned and glared at Jasper. "Can you not see i'm talking ?" He snapped.
*Jasper looked shocked. "I'm sorry boss. It's just so nice out. "
*He Nodded. "I'm Sure it is and she can go with you if she wants. But at the moment i am talking to her." He Glared then turned to riona his face softening. "would oyu like to go on a horseback ride with Jasper. Its ok if you say no."
*Riona looked over her shoulder at Jasper who grinned at her. He made her nervous, the way he looked at her. Without realizing it, she moved closer to Kyle. "No."

kyle glared at jasper "well theres you answer go back towhat ever you were doing "
*Jasper frowned. "You sure pretty lady. I can show you something that will make you realy happy." He lookd over her body.
*"JASPER LEAVE!" he shouted
*Kyle yeling startled her and moved away from him slightly.
*kyle glared at him. "and she said no soleave" he growled harshly.
*RIona looked at him then at Jasper. SHe stayed near the wall, not sure what was going to happen.

*kyle stalked into the kitchen to make himself a drink.

*Snow sighed. "Be careful Kyle. Jasper doens't let up so easily."
*Kyle shrugged. "If the she wolf doesn't want him he'll leave her alone. It has nothnig to do with me.
*Snow turned to him. "Jasper can be mean to get what he wants Kyle. He'll corner her. I've seen him do it with a maiden from my tribe. SHe killed herself after he raped her. You want her death on your head so be it."
*"Jaspers changed since then Snow. And you know it. plus he said it himself he was drunk." He contered as he drunk his drink.
*Snow shook her head. "He was not drunk and that is no excuse for what he did to Blue Jay. SHe was to be married and when her man found out he called if off. Jasper ruins women Kyle."
*Kyle sighed. "Your right snow. I'll keep an eye on him." He said.
*Deciding to walk around, even though it was cold, Riona headed out to explore the ranch. SPying the barn, she she headed into it. It was warmn and the horses were watching her intently. Smiling, she went up and stroked one.
*Kyle sighed. "I Need a run." He said walking out the back way he changed to his wolf form and started running. Catching the scent of riona he sniffed it following her but staying out of view.
*Riona looked around and watched as he closed the barn door. SHe began to back up away from him.
*Kyle growled silently as he watched Jasper. What was that male doing now.
*RIona backed up against a wall. Jasper put one hand on one side of her and leaned close.
*Kyle let out a growl and Jumped up attacking Jasper he pushed him to the floor snarling at him.
*RIona screamed and fell to the floor, curling herself to a ball.
*Kyle snarled at Jasper then loked over at Riona. 'Get the fuck out of here.' He snapped inside her head.
*Riona stood and bolted out the barn. There was no way she was heading back to the house. She spied a small shed. noticing no one around, she canged to her wolf form and managed to slink in through a hole in the back. Once inside, she plugged up the hole with some boxes, found a corner under a shelf and curled up there.
*Kyle Snarled jumping off Jasper he kicked him then Started running heading bak up to the house he changed human and pulled on his clothes he stormed in through the kitchen pissed off. "Wheres the She wolf gone ?" He snapped
*Snow jumped. "How the hell should I know Kyle. I am not her keeper. What's going on?"
*He growled. "The stupid female hasn't come back in ? "He Snarled. "Jasper. I Swear i'm going to kill him then her." He snapped.
*Snow glared at him. "She's not stupid. Scared confused, alone. Not stupid. TOuch a hair on her and Ill never speak to you again Kyle. You are no different then Jasper." Grabbing her coat, she headed outside.
*Kyle Growled. He didn't get anything but angerrom his run.
*Snow looked around but didn't see any sign of her. She headed back into the kitchen. "I don't see her. Give her and hour and if she doesn't appear you need to look for her. It will be getting dark by thenn."
*Kyle Took a Breath and nodded. "I'm Sorry Snow. I have alot on my plate at the moment." He said.
*"Yeah well don't take it out on her. I mean here she is in a house full of strangers. You are so cold to her. And you can not expect me to befriend her. SHe has Jasper chasing her, her pack after her..and heaven only knows what they did with her." SHe sighed. "I have to return to my tribe tonight and help my family. I will return in the morning Kyle."
*He Nodded and stepped forward kissing her forehead gently. "Safe journey snow. I am going to go out and find Riona. If you see jasper tell him i have gone to the shops." He said.
*Snow sighed and nodded her head before leaving.
*Kyle Turned changing into wolf again he headed out into thevforest and let out a long and loud howl.
*Riona's had fallen asleep but the sound of the how brought her head up fast and she hit the shelf. Things came crashing down all around her.
*Kyle Heard a faint crashing in the background and his head snapped that way. Running towards it he saw a shed Pawing at the door he banged his head against it. "Rioan Are you in there ?"
*SHe whined as a heavy object hit her head.
*Growling slightly he Changed to his human form and pushed the door open. Walking in he looked down at her. "Riona what are you ding here ?" He asked softly.
*She looked up at him. Covered in boxes and other things, all that was visible was her eyes. "HIding from everyone."
*He sighed and started moving the boxes out of the way he sat crossed legged facing her. "i'm sorry I snapped at you riona." He said
*Picking up a paw, she licked away some blood. Her head was hurting and there was a slight gash from the metal object that had hit her.
*"May i have a look at your wounds ?" He asked.
*RIona slowly got up and headed over to him. Laying on the ground before him, she waited.
*Kyle looked at the gash wiping away the blood gently. "Come lets get you home so i can clean that up. Then we need to talk." He said smiling.
*SHe looked up at him. "Umm if I change out of my wolf form, I wont have my clothes."
*"Can you run ?" He asked.
*RIona nodded.
*Kyle Changed back to his wolf form and walked out theshed waiting for her. "Come on Ready ?" he asked. when she nodded he started running back.
*Riona followed him as best she could. Her back leg was hurting.
*Kyle noticed she was slowing down and slowed down he nuzled her. "Nearly there come on." He said encouragnly.
*She ran through the pain like she did on her own in the wild.
*He watched her smiling slightly he followed after her. Now that he wasn't acting so cold he could feel his heart openeing
*Getting to the steps, Riona began to climb them, but her back leg gave out and she went down. SHe got back up and tried again.
*Kyle Changed to his human form and pulled on a pair of jeans he had been carrying. He walked over to riona he scopped her up into his arms. "Shh I won't hyurt you." He smiled.
*Riona said nothing jsut lay quietly.
*Kyle Laid her down in the back room which was the room he used to clean himself and others up. Laying her on the counter he grabbed some water and bandages then started cleaning her up then wrapping a bandage around her leg then the gash on her head. "Ok do you want to lay like that up in your room or in human form i;ll go get some clthes if you do." He smiled.
*Riona thought about it. "It does not matter to me." She was feeling out of sort and like all she did was cause trouble.
*Kyle Nodded and scopped her into his arms again. "Then It is best you stay in wolf form while these wounds heal up a bit." he suggested smiling.
*Riona laid her head against his arm. It was nice to be cared for.
*Kyle carried her up to her room laying her on the bed he tucked her into the covers. And then sat down opposite her watching her for a moment.
*SNuggling furthe under the covers until all the stuck out was her muzzle, RIona began to doze off.
*He sighed leaning back as he watched her. He needed to talk to her and apologise properly.
*AS she slept, she dreamed of a home, people who loved her.
*Kyle leaned backin the chair closing his eyes.
*RIona woke after some time and stuck her head out. Seieing him sleeping, she cahnged to her human form and grabbed the balnket, palcing it around him gently. SHe headed into the bathroom to take a shower.
*Kyle Felt movement and opened his eyes he saw her alking into the shower and smiled.
*Letting the water hit her, she closed her eyes. This place confused her, he confused her
*Kyle sighed laning back. Snow was right for once. Maybe he should start listening to her.
*AFter her showered she dried off and wrapped the towel around her. It dawned on her she had not brought clothes in with her. SIghing, she opened the door, figuring he was sleeping.
*Kyle looked up and smiled. "Hello." He grinned
*Riona blushed then smiled shyly, SHe walked over to get some clothes from the dresser. The way he had smiled at her made her feel things she never had before.
*He stood. "I'll Let you Dress." He said and left ther to her privacy
*SHe was glad he was gone but upset at the same time. Once dress she headed out into the hallway.
*Kyle was down in the kitchen with one of the maids helping her serve up the meal for everyone. The Maid was shocked at kyles helpfulness and the fact he wasn't in a mood.
*Riona stood in the doorway to the kitchen and watched quietly.
*Kyle Finmished helping serve up and picked up a number of plates to take to the dining hall seeing riona he smiled. "Feeling better ?" he asked.
*She nodded.
*Kyle smiled. "would you mind giving me a hand with theseplates theres a load more out on the counter that need bringing into the dinning room were dinining with the Ranch hands tonight
*Riona went and grabbed the other plates and followed him quietly.
*Kyle layed the plates out going back and forth till they were all layed out on the table.
*Riona followed. Soon the table was set.
*Kyle sat down at the table next to riona and wrang the bell waiting for all the others to sit he
*Riona sat next to Kyle and watched nervously as the men entered. SHe looked down, aoividng their eyes. Jasper entered and headed to sit down on Riona's other side.
*Kyle Glanced up and glared at Jasper. "Nikita sits there jasper." He said.
*Jasper sighed and went to sit across from RIona. Soon everyone was sitting.
*Kyle Smiled and said grace at the table for eeryone then began eating looking over at Riona. "Are you ok ?" He asked.
*Riona nodded and quietly began to eat. Jasper watched her and smiled.
*kyle looked over at Jasper noticing the big bruise he'd left on his face from kicking him earlier. "where did the bruise come from jasper " He asked curiously tryng ot to smile.
*Jasper glared. "Umm I feel eralier." Riona glanced up and noticed the bruise.
*"must of Been an interesting Fall because riona was telling me about you earlier." He Glared winking at riona slightly.
*Riona looked at Kyle confused. Jasper glared at them. "yeah like what?"
*Kyle Glared back eating. "Like you comeing n to her when she did not want it. Can't you nderstand the mwaning of No ?" He growled.
*Riona looked down. Jasper sighed. "I wasn't doing anything."
*Kyle growled. "this isn't what i've heard. Stay away from her Jasper she doesn't want you. Or i'll find the wolf again and get him to rip your leg of." He said then looked over at Riona before mentally sending her a message' "I'm sorry i had to do that." He said.
*Jasper muttered and ate his food quickly and left.
*Kyle smiled and continued to eat.
*Soon all were done and Riona picked up her plate and brought it to the kitchen.
*Kyle finished his and took his plate into the kitchen as well. "How is your leg and head. May i have a look at them both ?" he asked.
*"They still hurt a little and ok."
*Kyle Nodded. "Come lets go to your bedroom the light is better there." He said as he let the kitchen with her and head up the stairs.
*Riona followed him queitly.
*Kyle let her sit the bed before undoing the bandage on her leg. It had healed up nicely. "There let thatair for a bit then it should be fine" he smiled and looked at her head which had aloso healed up nicely. "Youshould be all healed up properly soon.2 He smiled.
*She liked his touch. "Thank you."
*Kyle Nodded and sat back. "What would you like to do ?" he asked.
*Riona shrugged her shoulders.
*Kyle laughed. "Maybe go reading for a bit in the libreary. Or a stroll ?" He asked.
*"I like the library."
*Kyle Nodded and stood opening the door for her then.
*Riona headed out the door. He was being so nice to her. She found it both odd and thrilling.
*Kyle follwoed behind her as they walked to the libreary sitting down in one of the chairs in the libreary he watched her choose a book.
*Her hands gently touched the spines of the books as she read the titles. There were so many to chose from.
*Kyle watchec her smiling. "Riona i Truely am sorry." He said.
*Her hands still caressing the spines, the way a lover would caress a body, she didn't look at him. "What about?"
*"About being an Asshole. Being cold and uncaring its the only thing i know. Snow told me to stop being a bastard and treat you with the respect you deserve. And you do deserve respect." He said
*Riona chose a book and lounged on the floor by the fireplace. SHe was unaware that in doing so, she was letting Kyle get a good view of her profile. "You are what you are and I do not expect you to cahnge for me." Opening the book, she licked her finger to turn the page.
*Kyle watched her. "Aye But i want to. I Fear i have been too cold and uncaring for too long."
*Riona looked up at him. "WE al have our faults. If you wish to change than change."
*Kyle sighed and leaed back watching her.
*Getting engrossed in the book, Riona forgot Kyle was there. The book she had picked was a romance novel and she found herself quite excited about it.
*kyle smiled watching her.
*Grabbing the book, she rolled onto her back and continued to read. SHe found herself wishing she was the female in the story. Riona sighed.
*Kyle continued to watch her until his eyes dropped and he fell into a light slepp.
*Riona looked over to him as he slept. Getting up, she wnadered back to her room and came back with a pillow and blanket. Gently, she placed the pillow under his head and overed him back up. Laying back down on the floor, on her stomach, her backside was to him, she continued to read.
*Kyle sighed Mummering in his sleep.

*Riona had read that book and gotten another as he slept. It was late now, almost midnight. She lay on her stomach, her backside to him still, completely enthralled with another romance. At some point, she didnt know when, RIoan had started to see the men s Kyle and the women as her.
*Kyle woke up some time later and saw Rioan smiling he looked at her. "hello." he said.
*She had been in the middle of a graphic scene and turned to look at him. Her face was flushed and she knew the scent of her arousal was in the air. "Umm hey." SHe blushed and looked back at the book, biting her lip.
*Kyle Inhaled the scent smiling. "Good book /" hw asked.
*Riona nodded, trying to calm down.
*Kyle smiled. "Are you getting tired at all ?"
*Riona shook her head. She was competely wired. Something was different and she had no clue what. All she knew was she wanted to spend more time with Kyle.
*Kyle smiled and stood up."Ok." He smiled.
*SHe bit her lip. "Are you leaving?"
*Kyle shook his head chuckling. "No I am getting abook to read." He smiled.
*Content she went back to the book. The more she read the more the scent filled the air.
*Kyle lounged in a chair half reading but all he could concentrate on was the scent in the air.

Riona smiled as she finished the book. SHe stood, walking past Kyle to put it back on the shelf. She tried not too look at him, knowing what it would do.
Kyle watched her out the corner of his eye with a grin.
Putting the book back, she wondered what other one to look at. She spotted another one. THe male on the cover looked like Kyle. Taking it down she laid back on her stomach by the fire.
"Do you like to Read ?" he asked.
"Very much. It's a nice escape. I havent been able to unless I got the books out of the garbage."
Kyle frowned sympathetically. "You are welcome to ome in here when ever you want the libreary is yours to sleep and eat in as well if you really want." He chuckled.
She looked over her shoulder and smiled at him. "Thank you." TUrning she began to read the book. She kept stopped and looking at the cover, pictureing the male to be Kyle and her the female.
Kyle Nodded and went back to reading his own book quietly.
She started to read and got lost in her own mind. Closing her eyes, she saw him and her and her scent kicked up.
Kyle stood up and walked over to her he looked down at her and smiled. "Enjoyig your book ?" he asked.
RIona looked up at him, grinning. "Yup."
kyle smiled and sat next to her. He hadn't wanted a female like this in a while just to be next to.
SHe went back to reading, tried to. HIm being closer made her think things.
kyle smied as he watched her read.
After some time, se let out a deep sigh. CLosing her eyes, she rolled onto her back next to him and dreamed of him.
Kyle smiled and reached over gently pulling her into his lap as she slepthe ran his figers through her hair.
Smiling, Riona curled closer to him in her sleep, murmuring his name.
kyle smiled and closed his eyes as well ready to sleep till morning in this position
Riona opened her eyes slowly and realized she was still in the library and he was holding her on his lap. Kyle was sleeping. Reaching up, she gently touched his face.
Kyle opened his eyes smiling he looked down at her. "Greetings." He smiled.
Riona smiled at him, blushing. She had dreamed of him, of them. Her scent still hung in the air and she couldn't pull her eyes from his lips

Kyle smiled. "Riona. Even htought it has only been a couple of days .. I Feel so CLose to you." he begane smilong nervously.
SHe looked up at him. SHe wanted him and it kinda frightened her.
Kyle could sense her fear and backed away. "I'm Sorry i didn't mean to scare you."
She reached up and touched his lips. "It's not you. It's the way I feel."
Kyle Frowned slightly and took her hand. "how do you feel ?" he asked.
Biting her lip, she looked up at him. "I feel...funny like..something about you makes me want to do things."
Kyle smiled and pulled her into his lap hlding her hand slightly. "What sort of things ?" he asked.
Her heart was pounding. "Things that men and women do when alone."
Kyle smiled. "Do you like me ?" He asked.
"Yes,"it came out as a whisper. Like was not strong nough a word. The wolf in her wanted to pounce on him now
Kyle smiled and ran his fingers through her hair. "eVen though we hardly know each other and i've been a proper bastard to you ?" he asked.
"I can't explain it Kyle." Tentatively, she reached out and touched his lips again.
Kyle smiled and took her hand again before leaning in he kissed her gently. "I have not done that in a while."
(Riona felt her heart stop when he kissed her. MOre, she wanted more.

Kyle leaned back and smiled.
RIona wanted to kiss him but was unsure. Never had she felt this way. SHe had no clue what to do and was nervous
"Listen Riona. I think i feel the same way as you. But i think it might be going a bit to quick for me i'm sorry." he said Biting his lip
Riona slid off his lap and stood. That hurt for some reason. "Ir's ok. I..I'm sure you have work to do." Without another word, she turned and headed to her room.
"Riona !" He called out jumping up he followed after her. "wait a secod please."
SHe didn;tstop. Instead going ot her room and locking the door. SHe laid down on her bed and cried.
Kyle Growled he wanted to hit something let all of his anger and coldness come back out. Taking a breath he sighed and went to her door nocking on it."Rioan please open up." he called out.
Wiping the tears away, she went over and opened the door. She couldn't look at him.

Jasper was coming down the hall when he spotted Kyle.
Kyle walked into her room closing the door behind them. He tok her chin and tilted it up to look at him. "Riona. Listen just because i said it was going to fast does not mean i do not want you. Its Just.. A Shock for me to feel this." he said.
She said nothign merely remaind quiet. It was all so confusing to her, how he made her feel.
"Rioan Please talk." He said begging in his voice.
SHe went to stay something when there was a knock on the door.

Jasper knew what to say, hoping to piss Kyle off.
Kyle Growled. "I'll get it." He said and opened the door scowling at jasper. "What ?!" he snapped.
Jasper grinned. "Hey she said she wanted to see me about giving her what we talked about. Didn't realize she wanted a three some boss."
Kyle Growled he couldn't believe this was true. "Jasper if you don't want your Fat arse fired right now go do your fucking job." He snapped slamming the door he took a breath trying to push back his coldness and anger.
Riona watched him. "What did he mean by threesome?"
"Maybe you should explain what he was talking about First." He said As calm as possible.
Riona looked at him. "I'm not sure. I mean i know what he wants from me...but I would not want that from him. The last time I saw him was dinner. I was with you in the library all night. "
Kyle looked at her. "Of course you was I'm Sorry. He just got to me." he said frowning.
SHe didnt understand. "Why are you sorry and wahts a threesome?" RIona sat on the bed and looked up at him.
Kyle shoook his head. "I was going to get mad at you for something that wans't your fault. Anda threesome is what he wanted between you and him with one more person involved." he said.
Riona blushed and looked away. Her mind went to him again and her dreams, she it her lip and a slight whine from the wolf in her came out.
Kyle watched her and sighed he leant down and kssed her gently. "Please be carefull of your wolf. Are you hungry ?" he asked.
Riona nodded. The wolf wanted him so bad it scared the hell out of her.
Kyle smiled and tok her hand. "Come let me get you some food. I Believe snow will be back today and she makes marvoull breakfasts" he said.
Riona followed him to the kitchen where Snow was making breakfast. SHe smiled at Riona and Kyle. Happy and sad to see him holding her hand
Kyle smiled and kissed snow on the forehead. "Good morn snow. How is the Tribe ?" he asked as he sat riona down.
Snow smiled. "WEll and asking for you." SHe brought over a plate for each of them before getting one for hesel and stting down.
Riona ate quietly. Seconds later Jasper walked in smiling.
Kyle smiled. "They always are." he said and sitting down next to riona eating. He glared up at jasper.
Jasper looked at them. "ANother storm coming tonight boss. Going to make sure everythig ok with the animals." He winked at Riona.
Snow glared at Jasper. "Maybe you'll get lost in it."
Kyle glared at Jasper but nodded. "Make sure all the barns are properly locked as well." he said. He chuckled at snow. "Now snow be kind." He grinned winking.
SNow grinned. "I am." Jasper glared at them ."You wait and see,"he muttered.
Kyle glared. "Just og do it." he said and continued to eat.
Jasper left the room. "Kyle. I have some things in my truck. Maybe you can help me with them?"
Kyle looked at him weirily. "Very well.2 He said standing he took a bite of his food then turned to snow. "please can you look after Riona while i deal with jasper." he asked her.
SNow nodded. Riona watched him go and said nothing. THe phone rang and Snow went to answer it. Riona cleared her plate and headed upstairs to her room.

Jasper brought out some heavy bags. "It's the new feed you asked for the cows."
Kyle grabbed a couple of the heavy bags. "Finally. when did this come ?" he asked.
"Last night. I picked it up when I was at town." Riona showered, dressed and headed out the back door. Kyle confused her bad.
Kyle Nodded. "Thank you." he said and carried them with Jasper into the barns. "Make sure everything is locked up for the storm tonight."
Jasper grinned. Out of the corner of his eye he spotted her. "Oh I will."

Kyle watched him for a moment frowning before turning back and heading inside into the kitchen. When He was there he frowned because the room was empty. "Riona ?" He called out.

Riona wandered toward the back of the property, eying the clouds. A storm was coming a bad one.

Jasper walked up to her. "Well, well well. Looky what we got here. And no Kyle arond to save you." He headed toward her.

Riona saw the only chance she had took off through the back gate.

Jasper grinned and chased after her as the first snow began to fall.

Riona ran, aware he was on her heels and catching fast to her.

Jasper stopped after some time, knowing the weather was getting bad. He silently headed back to the mansion.

Unaware he was gone, RIona kept running. Once the wind picked up and the snow fell fast she realized he was gone and she was lost.

Kyle had looked around the whole house twice. Sighing he went to find snow. "Snow have you seen riona on your travels ?" He asked forwning. He was starting to worry now.

Snow shook her head. "No can't say I have Kyle."

Jasper walked back in. "Storms here. GOing to be a real bad one boss." He smiled. The female would be dead before anyone found her.

Riona was scared. Not sure where she was, she tried to flash to her wolf form but was too scared to.

Kyle sighed frowning and nodded. "OK thank you snow. Could you make a heart warming casarole for dinner." He said then turned to jasper. "I can see that but i need to head out i shall be back in a while." He Said kissing snow lightly on the forehead before walking out and leaving the storm was getting heaving but still he turned wolf running out he Howled sniffing the air. Thought it was Very faint thanks to the storm he smelt her scent and followed it. Ending up deep in the forest. He followed it turning wolf he malfested his clothes and a thick jacket. "Riona ?" He called out. Spotting her he ran over to her pulling his jacket off he wrapped it around her. "Baby what are you doing out here ?"

Shivering, she pulled the jacket closer and placed her body against his. "Jasper,"she whispered. Suddenly tired, she began to fall.

Kyle Pulled her too him holding her close He Rubbed her arms warming her up. "What about him baby ?" she asked standing up he kept the jacket wrapped around her holding her close to him he cursed. The storm was too heavy to get back home.

Trying to stay awake. "He chased me." Her teeth were chattering.

Kyle growled. He would kill Jasper when he got back. He pulled her close to him kissing her gently. "Come we have to get out of this storm its getting worse." He said walking slowly the storm was terrible. "I know a cave close by we will have to stay in till the storm dies down." He said seeing the cave on the edge of the forset he pulled riona closer to his warm body and ran as fast as he could into the cave.

Entering the cave with him, RIona did not let go of him. Cold and tired, she hoped the storm would let up soon. Wanting nothing more than to go back to his home and into her own warm bed.

Kyle walked to the back of the cave where it was warmer and sat down. He held to him kissing her forehead gently. He looked down at her. "I can change wolf for you to cuddle into if it would be warmer." He said holding her close to him.

RIona nodded her head.

Kyle Nodded kissing her forehead again before wrapping the jacket around her again then changing to his wolf form he nuzzled into her. "Rest Riona and stay close." he said.

Teeth still chattering, she curled up next to the large, warm wolf. Smiling, she lay on the cave floor listening to the wolf's heart beat. Gently, her hand begins to pet him. Her wolf wanted out, wanted the male. Closing her eyes, she brought back some images she had of him while reading the books in the library and her scent flared up.

Kyle nuzzled his head closer to her closing his eyes. when the Storm calmed enough he was going to take her back home then kill jasper. How dare he go after riona.

Falling into sleep, Riona dreamed of him, of her. Sighing, she cuddled closer to him.

Kyle woke up a time later and opened his eyes seeing the Storm had settled and calmed a bit he nudged Riona. "Riona we must leave now i need to get you back home." he said.

Waking slowly, she looked at the wolf. Kyle was not like the males from her pack. Standing slowly, she waited for him. When she would get back to the house, she was going to her room and not come out.

Kyle stood looking at her he stretched on his backlegs then straighted up. "Get on this is a quicker way." once she was on he instructed her to hld on tight then Ran out into the clamed storm through the trees and across the fields. once they got close he stopped and let her climb off then changed to human before flashing some clothes one then Taking her hand he pulled her close wrapping the jacket around then his arm. "Come on." He smiled.

Feeling a little frightened, she allowed Kyle to lead her in the house. Snow looked up as the door opened and ran to Kyle. "Are you alright?" Feeling a little out of place, RIona started to leave them alone.

Kyle reached out and kept hold of riona pulling him to her he nodded at snow and leaned down kissed her ear gently. "Please wait for a moment." he said quiertly into her ear then looked up at snow. "I am fine as is riona. Jasper on the other hand will not be. I'm just going to settle riona down then i will be back and there will be hell to pay." he said before heading up to rionas room.

Snow simply blinked. Somewhere inside she had hoped maybe there was a chance. SHe nodded. "Ok. Umm I'm going to finish that casserole."

RIona didn't move but wanted to desperately get to her room, away from it all..
