Fallen Angel

Jaden slept fitully, kicking the blanket off, burnign up.

Briony sat back out side on the balcony staring out at the street.

JAden cried out loudly in his sleep.. his fever reaching bad highs.

Briony Heard him and stood climbing back inside she shook her self dry before heading down to him.

Jaden tossed and turned, the fever making him see things, hallucinate.

Briony Ran to him taking hold of his hand gently. "Jaden , Wake up , Shhh its ok , just wake up.2 she said shaking him gently.

His eyes opened and he stared at her, muttered the word angel and slipped back to sleep, holding onto her arm.

Briony was forced to sit on the floor next to him the way he held her arm smiling she slid onto the floor stroking his hair gently before turning to watch Tv while he slept.

Evntually the tossing and turning stopped and the fever lessened a little.

Briony Held his hand gently stroking as he slept.

Jaden woke some time later and looked at her. The fever was still there but lower and he seemed a little better. He said nothing, merely watched her. He trusted no one, not even the fallen.

Briony looked up and smiled. "Feeling any better ?" She asked reaching over with her spare hand she grabbed the glass of water and handed it to him.

He took it weakly and drank a little before handing it back to her. Jaden nodded his head but still did not let go of her.

Briony put the glass down on the table and stroked his hand gently. "This is what you get for not looking after your self jaden. Rest easy. Are you hungry ?" she asked.

He didn't argue with her. Too tired, to drained to. "Yes, a little."

Briony smiled and reached over for the sandwhiches. "these were for earlier to say sorry but you might as well have them now." she grinned.

He took one and began to eat slowly "You have nothing to be sorry for little one." His voice still sounded off.

Briony Reached out and stroked his hair gently. "I've bene a stubborn... Bitch. Shall we say and you didn't deserve it." she said watching him.

Finishing the sandwich, Jaden looked at her. "Not like me keeping her against your will has helped." He closed his eyes. Jaden liked how she gently touched him. It had been eons since a woman had been like this to him.

Briony Chuckled and looked down at the floor shaking her head. "No I Suppose not." she looked upat him and smiled.

Jaden smiled a little. This was nice, he thought. But he knew she would leave soon and he would be alone. "Listen..if...if you wish to go you may. I..can not hold you here against your will. It's wrong of me."

Briony Bit her lip Hesitating on that answer. She found her self liking to be here. But she loved her own indepence. She grinned down at him. "So The Devil Does have a soft spot huh ?" She said teasingly. Then Looked serious. "I Can't leave you yet , your still ill and..." she bit her lip her voice barely a whisper. "I Don't want to leae."

Jaden rolled his eyes. "No soft spot. Do not worry if I am still ill little one." She had said she did not want to leave and that confused him. "Why do you wish to stay?"

Briony winked. "Thats what you think.. but you could be going dillusional." she smiled then sighed biting her lip. "Because.. I like you Jaden." she said.

Jaden looked at her. "Yeah, I still must be sick and delusional."
